Everton forward Oumar Niasse has revealed he would leave Goodison Park this summer for Galatasaray if the clubs reach an agreement.

The Fanatik newspaper quote Niasse telling Galatasaray officials the following: “I don’t know what my situation is at Everton. I have not been told what the plans are regarding my future but I am under contract. I am open to joining Galatasaray, I loved my time in Turkey and they are playing Champions League football. The clubs would have to agree first though.”

The report also claims that the Lions have reached out to Niasse’s agent and made it clear they intend to sign his client.

We are not quite sure how Niasse managed to tell Galatasaray officials considering he is in Russia with the Senegal team or how the information was passed onto the newspaper.

A source close to Galatasaray revealed to Turkish-Football that while he had no idea about the recent quotes it is true that Naisse is on the transfer shortlist.

The Lions want an additional striker after booking a place in the Champions League.

The problem the Istanbul based outfit have is that they are under pressure from Financial Fair Play to curb spending.

As a result Galatasaray are keen on loan deals this summer.

Niasse struggled for first-team action last season but did score 12 goals and provide four assists in 27 appearances for the Toffees last season.

The Senegal international does have another two-years remaining on his contract.

The 27-year-old is currently in Russia with the Senegal national team for the World Cup.
