Caner Erkin has taken a step towards leaving Fenerbahce after a dispute with manager Vitor Pereria.
According to the Turkish sports newspaper AMK, the 27-year-old was dissapointed to be left out of the starting eleven for Fenerbahce’s clash with Fenerbahce in the intercontinental derby.
Caner refused to be named on the substitute bench and was left out of the squad altogether.
Liverpool and Everton are also in the race to sign Erkin according to the Express newspaper.
Meanwhile, Inter Milan are understood to be closing in on a €2.2 million deal for Fenerbahce‘s Erkin according to NTV Spor pundit Ridvan Dilmen.
Erkin has attracted interest from across Europe and could be available on a free-transfer in the summer if the Istanbul giants fail to sign a contract extension deal.
The Turkish international star has eight assists and one goal in 27 appearances for Fenerbahce this season.
