Everton have been closely linked with a move for Besiktas star defender Domagoj Vida over recently.
Turkish-Football first reported the Toffees expressing an interest in Vida last week.
Fanatik have revealed that the Merseyside based outfit are locked in talks with Besiktas through agents representing the interests of both clubs.
Per the source, Everton are have yet to launch an official offer.
Besiktas reportedly want £13.2 million for Vida but their valuation could increase depending on how Croatia do in the knock-out rounds of the World Cup.

Vida has been in great form in the World Cup for Croatia starting in the 2-0 win over Nigeria and 3-0 victory over Argentina, helping his side keep a clear sheet in both games.
The 29-year-old has another four-years remaining on his contract with the Black Eagles but has not ruled out a summer exit.
“All I am focused on right now is the World Cup, I will make a decision regarding my future one the tournament is over. After Russia I will take a look at the offers,” Vida was quoted as saying by Turkish-Football.
Vida has two goals in 61 international caps for the Croatia national side.
Croatia have already booked a place in the World Cup Last 16 and may end up rotating the side in the final group game against Iceland.
