Everton Outbid Liverpool With £19.5m Bid For World Cup Finalist But Barcelona Have Now Entered Race

Besiktas defender Domagoj Vida continues to be linked with new clubs with each passing day.

The Fotomac sports paper report that Barcelona have become the latest side to enter the race for the 29-year-old.

The report also makes a few interesting claims regarding which club has offered what.

Liverpool are the bookmakers favorites to sign Vida and most Turkish papers have made it clear they have offered the highest figure.

Fotomac meanwhile, report that Everton have actually made the highest bid.

The Toffees are willing to pay £19.5m [€22m], Liverpool and West Ham meanwhile have offered £17.7m [€20m].

Per the source, all four clubs have entered talks with Besiktas transfer committee chief Umut Guner.

Besiktas meanwhile want £26.6m for the Croatia international centre-back.

It is worth highlighting that only today the Sabah newspaper reported that Liverpool and West Ham have offered £19.5m [€22m].

With so many conflicting reports over who has offered what and what Besiktas actually value Vida as being worth the transfer situation is getting increasingly confusing.

Turkish-Football asked Besiktas for a comment on the latest reports regarding Vida. The Super Lig outfit did make things slightly less complicated. Confirming offers have been made but refusing to comment on which clubs have made bids.

The club did make it clear that Vida is currently on holiday for the next 20 days and that they expect a decision over his future around the end of July to the first week of August.
