Everton Outcast Cenk Tosun Provides Assist Against Watford Despite Playing Just 10 Minutes

Everton beat Watford 2-0 at Goodison Park in the Carabao Cup on Tuesday evening.

The game was scoreless until the 72nd minute when Holgate put the home side ahead.

Cenk Tosun has struggled for playing time this season making just two appearances heading into the Watford clash.

Head coach Marco Silva had given Tosun just 51 minutes of first-team football before the Carabao Cup game but decided to bring him on for Calvert-Lewin in the 80th minute.

Tosun managed to provide an assist before full-time setting up Richarlison with his sides second goal to take the Toffees through to the next round.

The Turkey international now has two assists in three appearances this term.

Tosun responded to his brief display with a photograph celebrating the goal he assisted alongside a message which read.

Everton take on Tottenham next at Goodison Park in the Premier League on Sunday 3 November.

It remains to be seen whether Tosun will feature, he is match fit but has played just 35 minutes of league football this campaign.
