Everton receive boost in race to sign Croatia international after wage increase denied – Leicester City also interested

Everton have received a boost in the race to sign Croatia international defender Dusko Tosic.

According to the Turkish outlet Aksam, Tusic wants to leave the Istanbul giants after being denied a pay increase.

The 33-year-old’s place in Besiktas’ starting eleven is also under threat after the Eagles signed Domagoj Vida in January.

The report goes on to state that Everton are set to hold talks with Besiktas in the coming days. Leicester City are also understood to be interested in the experienced defender.

Tosic has been a key member of Senol Gunes’ side this season and has made several notable performances in the UEFA Champions League.
