Everton receive transfer boost as €20m winger tables ultimatum

Garry Rodrigues

Everton and Newcastle United have received a boost in their quest to sign Galatasaray star winger Garry Rodrigues.

According to the Turkish outlet Fanatik, the Cape Verde international has tabled an ultimatum to the Istanbul giants.

Per the source, Rodrigues has told Galatasaray to increase his salary and give him the number seven jersey or he will push for a move this summer.

The Dutch-born winger played a key role during Galatasaray’s title-winning season and secured a regular first-team role following the appointment of Fatih Terim.

Rodrigues’ form has caught the attention of several clubs across Europe including both Everton and Newcastle United (Fanatik).

However, the report goes onto state that Gala boss Fatih Terim is keen to keep hold of the star winger and has instructed the board to table a new contract offer.

Fanatik go onto say that Galatasaray have set a price tag in the region of €20 million on the Cape Verde international

Rodrigues provided 11 assists and scored nine goals in 33 Turkish Super Lig appearances for Galatasaray this season.
