Everton Star Cenk Tosun Reveals What He Thinks About Marco Silva After Toughest Pre-Season Yet

Everton crushed ATV Irdning 22-0 in Austria in a pre-season friendly on Saturday.

Cenk Tosun got his pre-season schedule off to an impressive start scoring four goals and providing an assist.

Tosun revealed what he thinks about his new manager Marco Silva after the game.

The Turkey international feels that this is the toughest pre-season he has been involved in.

The 27-year-old also underlined that it ‘feels great’ to be playing under the stewardship of Tosun.

“I had pre-seasons in Germany and in Turkey but this one is harder,” Tosun told evertonfc.com. “He is a European manager but he thinks English. It feels great to play under him because he is always thinking offensively and it is perfect for a striker.

“I want to keep working hard under him and I’m looking forward to playing the first Premier League game.”

Tosun also revealed that he feels in great shape heading into the new season and that he cannot wait for the first league game.

“It was our first game and we can be pleased,” said Tosun.

“We had a good pre-season in England and here. The field was perfect, the hotel was amazing and the facilities have helped us to work how we wanted. It was enjoyable to be with the lads and the new manager.

“Now we go back to Liverpool full of energy and I hope we can keep playing well so we are ready for the first game of the Premier League.

“It feels nice to have a full pre-season with Everton. It helps me a lot because we are in every day with the lads. It feels nice. I joined in the winter and it was not easy for me. It was difficult to be straight into the Premier League but now with the pre-season I feel better, my body feels better. We have a hard pre-season but this is important for the league.”

Tosun joined Everton from Besiktas in January and scored five goals in 14 appearances.

The star striker joined the Toffees on the back of winning back to back league titles with the Black Eagles.
