Everton Transfer News: Champions League Side Make Toffees Outcast Transfer Priority, Crunch Talks Set To Be Held Next Week For January Move

Galatasaray have made Everton outcast Oumar Niasse a transfer priority for January according to the Fanatik sports newspaper.

Per the source, the Lions have several names on their shortlist including Liverpool forward Divock Origi but Niasse remains their first-choice target.

Galatasaray reportedly want the Senegal international on a one-and-a-half year loan and crunch talks with Everton are set to be held next week.

The report claims that Niasse is first on the Lions wish-list due to actually wanting to play for the club.

The Senegal international has struggled for playing time following the appointment of Marco Silva as manager.

With Richarlison and Cenk Tosun competing for a starting role upfront it has left Niasse pushed to the sidelines.

The 27-year-old has played just 48 minutes of Premier League football this season.

Niasse does not appear to be part of Silva’s plans and has been left out of the squad for the past four league games.

The striker is no stranger to Super Lig football as he first made a name for himself at Akhisar before moving to Russia and eventually Everton.

Galatasaray currently have just one out and out first choice striker in the squad, Eren Derdiyok. The Lions have made signing a new forward over the winter transfer window a priority.

The Lions are currently first in the Super Lig and third in the Champions League Group D just three points behind leaders Porto.

Were the Istanbul giants to progress to the next round of the European competition Niasse would face the prospect of Champions League football were he to make the move.
