Ex Chelsea striker Demba Ba has scored 6 of last 7 shots on target for Turkish league title challengers

Basaksehir held Trabzonspor to a 1-1 draw at the Medical Park stadium in the Super Lig on Sunday.

The draw meant that both sides remain top of the table separated only by goal difference.

It was the visitors who took the lead when Demba Ba scored a cracking goal in the second half.

The former Chelsea striker has now been involved in 13 goals in his last 10 games – nine goals, four assists.

Incredibly he has scored six of his last seven shots on target according to Opta.

The Senegal international first move to Turkey in 2014 following his spell at Chelsea.

Ba scored 14 goals and provided five assists for the Blues over the 18 months he spent at the club between January 2013 to summer 2014.

Ba did not win any silverware at Chelsea but he was involved in the infamous Steven Gerrard incident.

When Gerrard slipped in Liverpool’s game against Chelsea in April 2014 it was Ba who capitalized and scored.

The Blues won the game 2-0 which effectively marked the end of the Reds title challenge.
