Sheffield United have held talks with former Turkish national team manager Ersun Yanal according to Haberturk.
The report claims that the Blades are keen on replacing Nigel Adkins with Yanal over the summer after a disappointing season in charge.
Adkins in under mounting pressure after leading the League One favourites to a poor league campaign resulting in the lowest finish in over 30 years.
Yanal coached Trabzonspor 2007/08 and 2008/09 campaigns, culminating in a respectable third-place finish.
His stock had risen considerably after leading Fenerbahçe to the league title the season before last by a 9 point margin.
Yanal is currently working as a football pundit for Turkish league broadcaster Lig Tv after taking a brief break from management but is expected to return to coaching next season.
Sheffield United have close ties to Turkey through International Football Co-ordinator Selahattin Baki.
Baki joined the Board of Directors at Sheffield United in September 2013, when His Royal Highness Prince Abdullah bin Mosaad bin Abdulaziz Al Saud joined the club.
