Radamel Falcao was welcome by 25,000 Galatasaray fans [BBC] at the Istanbul Ataturk Airport on Sunday 1 September.

Thousands of Galatasaray fans poured into the space outside the airport over the course of the day waiting up to six hours in the blazing Istanbul sun to wait for their new signing.

After a lengthy wait Falcao finally arrived on a private plane with his family.

The Colombia international was given a rockstar welcome and he appeared to really enjoy the atmosphere as did his wife and kids.

In fact, Falcao’s wife was even involved in leading chants after stepping outside of the airport in front of the ecstatic crowd.

The fans chanted ‘auntie’ as a sign of respect for Falcao’s partner.
