Arsenal retained the FA Cup with a comfortable 4-0 victory over Aston Villa to become the most successful team in the competition’s history.
The North London based side were the better team from start to end and broke the deadlock after 40 minutes when Theo Walcott volleyed the Gunners deservedly ahead just before the break.
Alexis Sanchez, Per Mertesacker and Olivier Giroud added to Arsenal’s lead in the second half.
Mesut Özil played 77 minutes before being taken off for Jack Wilshere. The 26-year-old received a rating of 7.46 from Who Scored. The Germany international made 46 passes throughout the game and maintained a passing accuracy of 91.3%.
The Germany international took no shots on target, made three successful dribbles, one accurate crosses and three key passes.
