Fatih Terim Signs Galatasaray Contract Extension Keeping Him At Club Until 2020-21

Galatasaray have extended Fatih Terim’s contract by one-and-a-half years and have the option to extend by an additional three years.

The Lions released a statement on the Istanbul stock exchange confirming the new contract deal.

Terim took charge of the Yellow-Reds for the fourth time on 22 December 2017 signing a one-and-a-half year deal.

The agreement would have reached an end at the end of the current season.

The former Turkish national team manager will be paid in TL which marks a change in wage policy by the club to pay players and staff in the local currency.

Terim is the most decorated manager in Super Lig history lifting the league title seven times.

The head coach nicknamed ‘The Emperor’ has also won two Turkish Cup trophies, four Turkish Cups and is the only manager to guide a Super Lig side to a European title – the 1999-00 UEFA Cup.

Terim guided Galatasaray to a record 21st league title last term and the Lions are currently first in the Super Lig.
