Fatih Terim was at his poetic best following his sides 1-0 victory over Kazakhstan at the Ortalyk stadium in Almaty.
Term described the Turkish national sides current predicament using the metaphor of walking along the side of a cliff.
“Walking on the edge of a cliff is never easy,” Terim told Turkish-football.com reporters at his post match press conference.
Turkey kept their hopes of Euro 2016 qualification alive following the win over the Kazakhstan national team.
Arda Turan scored the winning goal in the last 10 minutes for the Crescent-Stars to clinch a vital victory.
Turkey remain in fourth place following the win and take on Latvia next on 3 September 2015 at home.
Kazakhstan will take on the Czech Republic in the next round of games while leaders Iceland will face third placed Netherlands.
A Turkish win over Latvia would be enough to overtake the Dutch national team if Iceland win their next game. Turkey would also move within four point of leaders Iceland should the Netherlands beat Iceland in the next qualification game.
