Felipe Melo has stated that his form for Galatasaray merits a place in the Brazilian national team.
“I have been putting in good performances for Galatasaray for a long time and I don’t understand why I haven’t been called up to the national team,” Melo said to GSTV.
“However, I respect any decision that Dunga makes, he helped me allot during my career.
“We earned a very important three points. Karabukspor are a strong side, especially at home.”
The former Juventus midfielder also commented on Galatasaray’s upcoming game against rivals Trabzonspor.
“The Trabzonspor game is a derby and is very important,” Melo said.
“We need our fans to be with us on the night. We draw strength from our fans and play better when they come out to support us.”
“The points are equal at the top of the table so every game is like a final.”
Melo has made 11 appearances in all competitions for Galatasaray this season.
