Manchester United midfielder Marouane Fellaini could be on his way to Arsenal according to reports emerging from France.
French TV show Foot 365, report that the Gunners have scheduled a meeting with Fellaini’s representatives to try and thrash out a deal.
The Belgium international will be out of contract at the end of the month and has yet to sign an extension with United.
Red Devils boss Jose Mourinho did claim an agreement over a new contract deal was close five weeks ago but nothing has materialized.
Fellaini is free to talk to other Premier League clubs as of last Friday.
The powerful midfielder has also been linked with PSG and a move to Turkey.
Galatasaray were one of the sides interested in Fellaini but if they do suffer a transfer blow and lose out on Fellaini it could help their pursuit of Jack Wilshere.
The Gunners would be unlikely to keep Wilshere if they sign Fellaini considering the England midfielder is reaching the end of his contract without an extension in sight.
Sources close to the Lions revealed to Turkish-Football that Wilshere is on the transfer shortlist.
Fatih Terim has made the midfielder a priority this summer.
Terim consulted former Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger for advice on Wilshere during a recent meal they had together in Bodrum, Turkey.
Galatasaray are of the view that if Arsenal do sign an additional midfielder they will be unlikely to keep Wilshere on.
Wilshere is also out of contract and free to talk directly with other clubs.
The 26-year-old will be a free agent at the end of the month unless he signs a contract extension.
