Female Fans Rally Behind Liverpool Keeper Loris Karius After Debut Blunder For Besiktas

Liverpool loanee Loris Karius made his Besiktas debut over the weekend against Bursaspor.

The German keeper actually got off to a great start after making an excellent save one-on-one stop against Lima.

Karius did end up slipping up on 86 minutes after misjudging a cross which resulted in Bursaspor equalizing.

The final score ended 1-1 in Bursa.

The keeper sent the following tweet after the game.

Besiktas fans came out in support of Karius following his latest tweet. Especially his growing female fanbase.

Prominent Turkish football pundit Mehmet Demirkol did say recently on BeIN Turkey that he expected Besiktas’ female fans to increase should Karius complete his move to Besiktas.

“I expect the number of female fans in the stands to increase,” Demirkol humorously stated on BeIn Sport.

“He is a good goalkeeper, I have no doubt.

“Karius will be joining the right club to rehabilitate his career. I expect the Besiktas fans to show him a lot of support.

“But he will need to get over his self-confidence issues since the Champions League final.”
