Fenerbahçe have denied rumours that Emmanuel Emenike is set to leave the club in January.

The Yellow Canaries released a statement confirming that the Nigerian international will be staying in Istanbul.

The statement read: “There have been reports that Emmanuel Emenike will be leaving Fenerbahçe sports club. Emenike has a contract with us and we have no plans to sell him. These rumours are false and we urge the press to stop reporting false stories.”

Fenerbahçe were reported to be considering parting ways with Emenike for a €15 million fee.

Tottenham and Everton have been closely linked with the Nigerian international.

The 27-year-old striker has also received interest from Qatar.

The 27-year-old striker joined Fenerbahçe last summer from Spartak Moscow for €13 million, and scored 12 goals as well as providing 9 assists last season.
