Leicester City were reported to have made an offer for Fenerbahce midfielder Miha Zajc in the Turkish press yesterday.

Turkish-Football asked Fenerbahce to comment on the latest rumours.

The Yellow Canaries denied receiving an offer from the Foxes for Zajc and revealed that they have not been contacted by the Premier League club regarding a potential move either.

The club have confirmed receiving several enquiries from Italy and Russia but underlined that Zajc plans to stay at the club this summer.

The midfielder is keen on spending at least another season at the Yellow Canaries.

Fenerbahce escaped with a UEFA fine for breaching FFP on Friday – the club feared they might be suspended from European competition.

The Yellow Canaries do however, have to continue spending within their means and ideally will have to sell players in order to comply with their break-even target.

Fenerbahce signed Zajc from Empoli on a €6.5m transfer last summer.

The Super Lig giants are confident Zajc value will increase and he does have another four-years on his contract.

Zajc scored five goals and made three assists in 31 appearances for the Yellow Navy-Blues this season.
