Fenerbahce in talks with ‘Arabian Messi’ Omar Abdulrahman
Fenerbahce are locked in negotiations to sign the Al Ain midfielder dubbed as the ‘Arabian Messi,’ Omar Abdulrahman.
A source close to Fenerbahce has revealed to Turkish Football that the Istanbul giants are in early talks with Abdulrahman’s representatives. However, the Yellow Canaries are yet to agree upon a fee with his club Al Ain.
The United Arab Emirates based club are understood to be holding out for a fee in excess of €10 million which will likely deter an official move from Fenerbahce.
Fenerbahce are currently being monitored by FIFA Financial Fair play and have so far avoided making any expensive signings this term.
Omar Abdulrahman previously had a trial at Manchester City back in 2013 however, was unable to sign due to Work Permit issues.
Abdulrahman’s brothers, Mohamed Abdulrahman and Khaled Abdulrahman also currently play for Al Ain.
