Fenerbahce have edged ahead of the chasing pack in the race to sign FC Twente’s young star Hakim Ziyech according to the Turkish newspaper AMK.
Arsenal are among several Premier Leauge clubs chasing the 23-year-old this summer according to the Chronicle.
AMK go onto state that Fenerbahce have held talks with the young midfielder and are close to agreeing a €1.8 million per season deal.
Fenerbahce are lining up Ziyech as a replacement for Luis Nani. The Portuguese intentional will join Valencia on an £7.2 million transfer fee after the end of Euro 2016 according to the Guardian.
Ziyech has 39 goals and 37 assists in 100 Eredivisie performances and does have another two-years left on his current deal. Fenerbahce would be able to offer Ziyech first team and Champions League football next season after finishing the league campaign as runner-up.
