Fenerbahce have been linked with a move for Santos’ highly rated 18-year-old striker Gabriel Barbosa.
According to the Turkish newspaper Hürriyet, the Fenerbahce’s scout Müjdat Yetkiner has been monitoring Barbosa in recent months and has provided a detailed report to the club.
The article in the Hürriyet goes onto state that the Istanbul Giants are preparing to launch a bid for the striker, dubbed as the ‘New Neymar’.
Gabriel broke into the first-team at Santos two seasons ago and has since attracted interest from a number of top European clubs.

According to the express, Chelsea, Arsenal and Manchester United are all interested in signing the young star.
However, Barcelona already have a ‘first-rights‘ clause for Gabriel, which was agreed when the Catalan giants signed Neymar from Santos.
Gabriel scored eight goals in 31 games for Santos in the Brazilian Serie A last season. The 18-year-old made his first team debut in May 2013 when he was just 16 years-old and has gone on to score nine times in 43 appearances.
