Fenerbahce May Have to Wait to Sign Man United Forward

Fenerbahce Eyes Mid-Season Reinforcements, Martial Emerges as Striking Option

Fenerbahçe is revving up for the January transfer window, aiming to shore up key areas and bolster their championship pursuit. The Yellow Canaries are targeting a winter move for Manchester United forward Anthony Martial according to Fotomac.

However, they may have to wait until the summer to sign Martial as Ten Hag does not ‘aim’ to sell him over the winter transfer window.

Following coach İsmail Kartal’s directives, the club is targeting strategic reinforcements for center-back, midfield, and the striking position.

Defensive woes have plagued Fenerbahçe this season, with recurring injuries disrupting their backline and leading to costly point losses. To address this, the club is actively seeking a reliable central defender.

Meanwhile, Michy Batshuayi’s potential departure leaves a void upfront. The Belgian striker, struggling for playing time, has attracted serious interest from his homeland.

With Batshuayi’s exit looming, Fenerbahçe is on the hunt for a prolific replacement.

Enter Anthony Martial. The Manchester United star, long on Fenerbahçe’s radar, has suddenly gained momentum.

However, United manager Erik ten Hag revealed today that Martial will miss the Aston Villa clash due to being unwell – not because he has been dropped or sold.

Ten Hag also remained coy on reports that he will leave in January making it clear that the intention is not to sell but that if there are any developments he will let the media know.

“He’s still unwell,” Ten Hag said.

“When we have news, then of course I will tell it. But that is not our aim,” he added.

Fenerbahce may therefore have to wait until the summer to sign Martial when he will be available as a free agent unless United extend his current deal.

Martial will be out of contract at the end of the season as things stand but United do have the option to extend his deal by an additional season.

Martial, despite playing 19 games this season, has only managed two goals and two assists.
