Fenerbahce set to make bid for Watford defender [divider]
Fenerbahçe are set to table an offer for Watford defender Essaid Belkalem according to Eurosport Turkey.
Belkalem is currently on a one-year loan at Süper Lig outfit Trabzonspor.
The experienced defender would join the Yellow Canaries at the end of the season if Watford expect Fenerbahçe’s bid.
The Algerian international has a total of three goals and one assist in 21 appearances in all competitions this season.
The 26-year-old defender is currently out injured with a muscle tear.
Belkalem was called up for the Algerian national team ahead of the African Cup of Nations 2015 but is unlikely to play due to his injury.
Algeria will kick off their 2015 AFCON campaign in Equatorial Guinea against South Africa in Mongomo on January 19, before facing their other Group C opponents Ghana and Senegal.
