Van Persie offered to West Ham just a season after leaving Man Utd

Fenerbahce star Robin van Persie has been offered to West Ham according to the Sun.

The report claims that Van Persie’s agent has been looking for a new club and that West Ham and Crystal Palace have both been targeted.

The Dutch international is reported to want a return to London where he lived for over a decade before leaving Manchester United for Fenerbahce on a £4 million move last season.

Despite scoring 22 goals in all competitions for the Yellow Canaries Van Persie fell out with head coach Vitor Pereira who refused to show him favouritism and regularly left the experienced striker on the bench.

Fenerbahce president Azil Yildirim confirmed that the club will listen to offers for Van Persie: “Van Persie? We’re waiting for buyers, if he wants to be sold.”

Van Persie does have another two-years remaining on his current contract and has years of Premier League experience having played for both Arsenal and Manchester United.

West Ham and Crystal Palace are in the market for a striker this summer after missing out on Michy Batshuayi.
