Fenerbahce also posted a farewell video for Kadioglu on the official Youtube channel.
Brighton manager Fabian Hurzeler expressed his excitement about the signing, highlighting Kadioglu’s versatility and ability to play on both sides of the defense. Hurzeler also praised Kadioglu’s character and his eagerness to learn and develop.
“I’m very excited because we are getting an excellent player and a great character. He has great ability, is a strong runner and very good at passing,” he said.
“He is predominantly a full-back and can play on the right or left side; he can also play in the centre of midfield.
“He is someone who is very keen to learn and develop, and with that in mind I’m confident he will adjust to the Premier League and adapt quickly to English football.”
Born in Arnhem, Netherlands, Kadioglu started his career at NEC Nijmegen before joining Fenerbahce in 2018. He has made over 200 appearances for the Turkish club and won the Turkish Cup in 2023.
Kadioglu has represented Turkey at international level, having earned 20 caps and played a key role in their run to the quarter-finals of Euro 2024. His impressive performances at the tournament further solidified his reputation as a talented young defender.
Brighton fans will be looking forward to seeing Kadioglu in action for the Seagulls. His versatility, defensive abilities, and attacking flair make him a valuable addition to the club’s squad.
