The goal went down a treat with fans who praised Gundogan’s touch, control and finish. Liverpool’s defending was however, also questioned. How did they manage to let the midfielder of Turkish origin get away with that?
First touch of an angel from Gundogan there with 3 Liverpool players closing in on him.

Still don’t know how Gundogan had time to take that ball down and score

On the losing side today and overshadowed by more illustrious teammates but love watching Gündogan play. Plays the game with finesse. Impeccable control in tight areas, inventive passing and chips in with the odd goal. Goal today was class.

It was even Stan Collymore’s favorite goal.
Two favourite goals were Firmino and Gundogan . 2 examples of wonderful resourcefulness under pressure which defines real quality.

Not everyone thought Gundogan did well.
City never had control of this game and that’s the main reason of their downfall, along with individual mistakes.
Gundogan isn’t good enough for this team.

Bit weird that he refuses to bring David Silva on. They need control and possession and Gundogan has given up two goals.

Gundogan needs to do better in the 2nd half. Hasn’t been able to control the pace of the game. Without Silva, City are being drawn into trading blows with Liverpool. With their record at Anfield, and the pace of Mané and Salah, that’s a serious risk.
