German newspaper BILD have coined the Mesut Özil, Mario Götze and Thomas Müller trio as being the footballing equivalent of Godzilla or ‘Gözilla’ to be more precise.
Ireland face Göziller next in the penultimate Euro 2016 Group D qualification game on Thursday night. All three players are expected to start in Dublin.
Bleacher Report took Göziller and did a brilliant graphic taking inspiration from the Japanese mythical beast on their Instagram account.
Germany need just a point to progress to the tournament while third place Ireland could really do with a win and hope that second placed Poland drop points.
Özil is probably feeling like Godzilla after squatting aside Manchester United in the Premier League last weekend.
The World Cup winner scored his first goal of the season and setup Alexis Sanchez with the assist for the opening goal in the 3-0 victory that took Germany into second place just two points behind Manchester City.
