“Forget it. He’s too important to me.” – Man United boss Jose Mourinho issues swift response to reports linking £27m Marouane Fellaini with summer exit
Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho has issued a response to speculation linking Marouane Fellaini with a summer exit.
Turkish Super League giants Galatasaray have been linked with a move for the 29-year-old.
Galatasaray sporting director Cenk Ergun has confirmed talks with United for Fellaini.
“There will be surprises, we are in talks with Fellaini,” Ergun told Turkish-Football on Saturday. Turkish-Football can also reveal that an agreement-in-principle has been reached between Galatasaray and the midfielder.
However, Mourinho believes it would be easier for Galatasaray to sign him as manager over signing Fellaini.

“It’s easier for Galatasaray to get me than to get Maroaune,” Mourinho was quoted as saying by Goal.

Manchester United have been closely linked with a move for Chelsea’s Nemanja Matic. The transfer would push Fellaini down the pecking order at the Red Devils.
Furthermore, Fellaini has under 12 months remaining on his contract with Man United. The Belgium international joined Man United from Everton for £27 million [BBC] back in 2014.
