The former Manchester United and Arsenal striker Robin van Persie has been linked with a move away from the Turkish Super Lig after just one season at Fenerbahce.
According to the clubs President Aziz Yildirim, despite scoring 17 goals in all competitions for Fenerbahce this season, Van Persie has been linked with a move away this summer.
The experinced striker joined Fenerbahce from Manchester United for £4 million.
“Van Persie, we’re waiting for buyers, if he wants to be sold,” Fenerbahce president Aziz Yildirim told reporters.
Fenerbahce finished the season as runners up behind Turkish Super Lig champions Besiktas. The Yellow canaries also lost the domestic cup final against their bitter rivals Galatasaray.
Fenerbahce are also close to offloading Luis Nani who joined from Manchester United last year.
Van Persie provided three assists and scored 22 goals in 48 appearances for Fenerbahce this season.
