Fulham join Besiktas in the race to sign Ghana international striker Asamoah Gyan.
The Turkish Super League champions are understood to be ahead in the race for the former Sunderland man after agreeing personal terms with Gyan.
Many clubs were chasing Asamoah Gyan on loan but for now, he will play in Turkey” Asamoah Gyan’s agent Kamil told Kickgh.com.
“Asamoah will arrive in Turkey this week to complete Besiktas switch.”
However, SkySports report that Fulham boss Slavisa Jokanovic is also keen to land Gyan this summer.
Besiktas are on the lookout for a new striker after last seasons top scorer Mario Gomez left to join Wolfsburg.
The 30-year-old is currently plying his trade for Shanghai SIPG. Gyan has fallen behind Hulk in the pecking order and had found his game time limited.
SkySports goes onto state that Gyan is keen on a return to England to play for Fulham.
Gyan is Ghana’s all-time leading goalscorer and has featured at three World Cups including a memorable run to the quarter finals in 2010.
