Galatasaray Vice President Abdurrahim Albayrak has confirmed the Istanbul giants interest in Alan Carvalho and Alexander Pato.
Albayrak travelled to Dubai earlier this week to hold face to face talks with both Alan and Pato’s representatives. However, he was unable to secure either striker as Galatasaray’s search for a striker continues.
The Lions are currently operating without a striker after selling Bafetemi Gomis over the summer and removing Eren Derdiyok from the first-team squad.
Seapking to reporters upon returning to Istanbul, Albayrak stated: “We have held talks with many players over the past week.
“We have struck a deal with both Alan and his club. Despite reports in the media, this transfer could still go through.
“We also held talks with Pato, however, due to issues between himself and his club we have had to put negotiations on hold.
“I am only returning to Turkey due to an illness. Galatasaray will make transfers and we are currently in talks with 10 players.”
Galatasaray are back in action this weekend when they take on Gozetepe in the Turkish Super Lig.
