Galatasaray assistant manager Hasan Sas resigned from his position yesterday but returned the following day.
Turkish-Football can reveal that Galatasaray head coach Fatih Terim refused to accept the resignation and convinced Sas to return to his role.
Sas sent his resignation letter to Galatasaray yesterday following an incident following the Denizlispor game.
The former Lions star was involved in altercations with Denizlispor fans.
Galatasaray ended up losing their opening game of the season 2-0 against newly-promoted Denizlispor.
The game was played at the Ataturk Denizli stadium in front of a full house.
Sas was targetted by groups of fans and they managed to get under his skin provoking him into reacting.
The assistant-coach initially decided to resign for bringing the clubs name under disrepute but he has been given another chance.
Reigning Super Lig champions Galatasaray will play their first home game of the 2019-20 campaign at the Turk Telekom Arena against Konyaspor on Sunday 25 August.
