Galatasaray are closing in on the transfer of the Senegal international striker Oumar Niasse from Everton.
Sources close to the Turkish club have told Turkish-Football.com that Galatasaray have struck a deal with Niasse and have agreed a €1.5 million up front fee with Everton.
However, the Lion’s and Everton are yet to agree upon the price of the buy-out clause.
The Liverpool Echo states that Niasse has failed to win over his sides newly appointed manager Ronald Koeman and knows his ‘Everton days are numbered’.
Niasse is no stranger to the Turkish Super League having previously played in for Akhisar Belediyespor, where he scored 15 goals in 40 appearances.
The Lion’s have been in pursuit of a replacement striker since Burak Yilmaz joined Chinese giants Beijing Guoan. Galatasaray will not be able to play European football next season due to serving a one-year UEFA ban for breaching FFP regulations.
