Galatasaray have confirmed that Sevilla are in talks with midfielder Fernando Reges on the stock exchange.
The statement read: “Sevilla are in talks with Galatasaray over the transfer of Fernando Francisco Reges.”
Turkish-Football reported yesterday that Fernando has reached an agreement with Sevilla.
The La Liga outfit will pay approximately €4m for the experienced midfielder who had just 12 months remaining on his contract.
Turkish clubs listed on the stock exchange are obligated by law to disclose transfer information.
Stock exchange-listed clubs will typically release an initial statement confirming negotiations before following with a transfer confirmation.
Fernando is set to officially join Sevilla as an agreement has already been reached.
The Brazilian has spent the last two seasons at Galatasaray winning back to back league titles as well as a Turkish Cup trophy.
Fernando played an important role in the Lions lifting their 22nd championship last season and booking a place in the Champions League group stage.
