The victory held added significance as Galatasaray goalkeeper Fernando Muslera achieved a historic milestone. With his appearance against Konyaspor, Muslera surpassed Bülent Korkmaz to become the club’s all-time leading appearance maker in league history.
Muslera, who joined Galatasaray in 2011, has been a stalwart for the club, solidifying his place as one of the most reliable goalkeepers in Turkish football.
This victory further strengthens Galatasaray’s position at the top of the Super Lig table, nine points clear of their closest rivals Fenerbahçe.
