Turkish Süper Lig giants Galatasaray have reportedly offered Barcelona goalkeeper Marc-André ter Stegen a potential exit route from the Catalan club, with the German international’s future at Camp Nou now appearing uncertain.
According to a report from Mundo Deportivo, Galatasaray has expressed concrete interest in the 33-year-old shot-stopper.
This comes amidst claims that Barcelona’s new coach Hansi Flick and the club’s board are reportedly keen to offload Ter Stegen, despite his contract running until 2028 and his stated desire to remain with the Blaugrana.
The alleged rationale behind this decision is the anticipated arrival of Joan Garcia from Espanyol and the planned contract extension for Wojciech Szczęsny, who came out of retirement to feature for Barcelona last season.

Ter Stegen, who boasts 44 international caps for Germany, joined Barcelona in 2014 and has been their undisputed first-choice goalkeeper for a decade, a status that only changed last season due to a significant long-term injury.
A few days prior, Italian heavyweights AC Milan were also reported to be interested in the experienced goalkeeper.
However, Galatasaray’s entry into the fray is significant, as they can offer him the lure of UEFA Champions League football this season, a powerful draw for a player accustomed to elite European competition.
With the summer transfer window now officially open, Ter Stegen is expected to carefully weigh his options. A decision on his future is anticipated soon, as the German faces a potentially pivotal moment in his distinguished career.
