Galatasaray have made an approach for Southampton defender Kyle Walker-Peters, according to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano.
The right-back is set to become a free agent next summer, making his future at St Mary’s uncertain.

Walker-Peters, 27, has made 21 Premier League appearances this season, contributing two assists.
He has been a valuable asset for Southampton since joining from Tottenham Hotspur in 2020 for £12 million, making 189 appearances for the club.
With his contract expiring soon, Southampton are in a difficult position.
While they would prefer to keep Walker-Peters, they are reportedly willing to consider offers in the January transfer window.
Romano reports that Galatasaray have contacted Southampton about a potential transfer, and that while the Saints would rather not sell, they will consider offers due to his contract situation.
Romano tweeted on X: “Galatasary approached Southampton to sign Kyle Walker Peters.
Southampton would prefer not to sell but will consider for the right price as player is in the last 6 months of his contract.
Many PL clubs are already interested in signing KWP as free agent in the summer.
He also notes that numerous Premier League clubs are interested in signing Walker-Peters on a free transfer in the summer.”
Walker-Peters, who has two England caps, was named in the EFL Championship Team of the Year last season and played a key role in Southampton’s promotion back to the Premier League.
He has previously stated his focus on helping the club maintain their Premier League status.
Everton are also reportedly interested in Walker-Peters, and his potential transfer fee is estimated to be around £5 million due to his contract situation.
Galatasaray’s interest in Walker-Peters comes amid reports linking them with Arsenal left-back Oleksandr Zinchenko.
The Lions manager Okan Buruk is keen to strengthen his full-back options as the club mounts a title challenge against Fenerbahce.
