Henry Onyekuru has opened up about his loan move to Galatasaray from Everton in his first interview in Turkey.

The Nigeria international told Turkish sports newspaper Fanatik that he is delighted to be back playing football after a lengthy spell on the sidelines.

“I feel great, I’m injury free now and feel at 100 percent,” he revealed.

Onyekuru also spoke about his future at the Premier League outfit.

The 21-year-old did rule out the possibility of staying at Galatasaray on a permanent move but underlined that Everton will decide his future.

“Will I stay on at Galatasaray? everything is possible in football but this is something for Everton to decide,” he said.

“I have a contract with Everton, if I were to leave it would have to be in both our interests.

“I am happy here, everyone has been so welcoming, the staff, the coaches and the fans.”

“I had offers from the Premier League and Bundesliga,” he said.

“My priority was playing time, I wanted to join a big club where I would play regularly.

“My original position is a No 9 but I can play on the right and the left wing.”

Onyekuru could make his official debut for Galatasaray against Akhisar in the Turkish Super Cup on Sunday.
