Galatasaray have entered talks with West Ham striker Chicharito according to the Fanatik newspaper.
Per the source, Lions sporting director Abdurrahim Albayrak has been in negotiations with the representatives of the Mexico international.
Chicharito reportedly wants to join a side that will play Champions League football next season.
The 31-year-old has just 12 months remaining on his contract at West Ham but has yet to be offered an extension.
The experienced striker scored seven goals and provided three assists in 25 appearances last season.
Galatasaray have made signing an additional striker a priority after winning the league title for the second season running.
Yellow-Reds head coach Fatih Terim wants an additional striker as the future of Mbaye Diagne remains uncertain and even if he does stay there is no competition for places in the current squad.
The Lions booked a place in the Champions League group stage as a result of winning the Super Lig.
