Galatasaray have been linked with  a move for Bayer Leverkusen’s experienced striker Stefan Kiessling.

Eurosport TR state that the Istanbul giants are preparing a January move for the Germany international.

However, the report goes onto state that Kiessling is reluctant to leave Leverkusen to join Galatasaray and wants to remain in Germany.

Galatasaray have been on the hunt for a new striker since the summer transfer window and have previously been linked with Oumar Niasse and Newcastle’s Papis Cisse.

The Istanbul based club’s first choice striker Burak Yilmaz has seven goals while his alternative Umut Bulut has only managed two goals in 16 games.

Galatasaray travel to Izmir to take on Akhisar Belediyespor in the next round of Turkish Super Lig games.

Kiessling has provided four assists and scored six goals in 24 appearances for Bayer Leverkusen this season.
