Galatasaray have maintained their interest in Manchester City defender Jason Denayer.

According to a report from Fanatik this morning, the Lions are keen to bolster their defensive options over the summer transfer window.

Per the source, talks between Galatasaray officials and Manchester City are ongoing.

The Lions want to sign Denayer on a season-long loan, however, the Citizens would rather sell the Belgium international this summer rather than let his contract run into its final season.

Denayer spent last season on loan with the Lions and established himself as a first-team regular following Fatih Terim’s appointment.

The 23-year-old also spent the 2015/16 season on loan with Galatasaray.

Denayer was left out of Roberto Martinez’s Belgium national team squad which came third at the 2018 World Cup.

Fanatik go onto state that Galatasaray are also interested in signing Inter Milan centre-back Miranda this summer. The 33-year-old has just a year remaining on his contract with the Serie A club.
