Galatasaray official Sukru Hanedar has traveled to England to try to sell star striker Mbaye Diagne a source close to the Yellow-Reds revealed to Turkish-Football.

Hanedar – who is in charge of foreign transfers at Galatasaray – wants to sell Diagne but is running out of time if he wants to find a suitor in England with the transfer window set to end today.

Aston Villa are interested in Diagne who scored 32 goals in all competitions last term, helping the Lions lift the Turkish League title and Turkish Cup.

Diagne also struck up a lethal partnership with Aston Villa summer signing Trezeguet during his time at Kasimpasa.

Villa signed Trezeguet from Kasimpasa for £9m [Trezeguet] in July.

Hanedar will hold talks with Villa but also other interested clubs to try and force through a transfer deadline day deal.

Additionally, he will also hold talks with the representatives of players Galatasaray are targeting such as Elneny.

Diagne has fallen out of favor at Galatasaray as he never managed to win over the fans despite an impressive goal record.

The striker was part of the Senegal national team squad that finished the African Cup of Nations in 3rd place.
