Galatasaray Open Transfer Door to Arsenal Under One Condition

Arsenal’s quest for a new right-back has found fertile ground in Turkey, with Galatasaray softening their stance on star defender Sacha Boey.

The Lions are aware of interest from Arsenal and other European clubs and will not block a move but only at the end of the season, sources told Turkish-Football.

Galatasaray will try to block a January exit with the promise that they would be open to an end of season move.

Long aware of Arsenal’s interest, the Turkish giants open to selling the Frenchman who has dazzled Europe with his defensive prowess.

Boey’s stock has soared, catching the eye of several top clubs. For Arsenal, he ticks all the boxes: young, dynamic, and a natural fit for the right-back slot.

While Ben White and Thomas Partey have ably covered the position, Boey represents a long-term solution, someone who can solidify the backline for years to come.

However, Galatasaray isn’t giving him away. They value their gem at €20 million, a price tag reflecting Boey’s talent and their financial needs. While rumors swirl of Arsenal’s keenness, they know they’ll have to meet Galatasaray’s terms to land their man.

Boey is under contract until 2025 so unless he signs a contract extension it would be ideal for Galatasaray to sell the 23-year-old at the end of the season as he will have 12 months remaining on his contract.

The France U21 international has two goals in 30 appearances in all competitions for the Yellow-Reds this season.
