Hakim Ziyech’s time in Istanbul might be nearing its end, with reports suggesting he could be the first departure in Galatasaray’s winter transfer window overhaul according to NTV Spor.

Despite arriving on a free loan from Chelsea, the talented Moroccan failed to live up to expectations and struggled to consistently impress in the yellow-red jersey.

Ziyech’s Galatasaray story was marred by several factors. Injuries hampered his playing time, and inconsistencies on the pitch left him ineffective.

The final straw came when he was excluded from the squad due to a reported injury just before the postponed Super Cup match.

Given these struggles, Galatasaray are reportedly ready to cut their losses. Despite scoring four goals and registering two assists in 14 appearances, Ziyech did not deliver the impact hoped for.

His national team call-up for the African Cup of Nations may have been a highlight, but overall his Galatasaray spell hasn’t been smooth sailing.

With the transfer window open, Galatasaray are looking to revamp their squad and Ziyech’s departure seems likely.

Galatasaray are currently in the Süper Lig title race and the Europa League and want to strengthen the squad to the second half of the season.
