Galatasaray are set to table a €2 million bid for HSV Hamburg midfielder Tolgay Arslan according to Eurosport Turkey.

The Lions plan to reduce their squad by selling or loaning out Furkan Özçal, Umut Gündoğan, Engin Baytar, Emmanuel Eboue, Yekta Kurtuluş and Yasin Öztekin to reduce the wage bill.

Galatasaray hope to replace the outgoing players with an additional midfielder, right-back and forward.

The Turkish giants will offer the 24-year-old a pre-contract in January to sign at the end of the season if Hamburg reject the €2 million bid.

Arsenal are also reported to be keeping tabs on the Hamburg midfielder Tolgay Arslan.

Arslan’s contract with Hamburg runs out at the end of the season and he will be enter to enter direct talks with other clubs if he does not renew his current deal.

The Germany and Turkey U20 international moved to Hamburg from Dortmund in 2009 on a free transfer.

The hard working midfielder can represent either Turkey or Germany at international level but has vowed to play for the Crescent-Stars.
