Galatasaray have rekindled interest in Arsenal striker Lukas Podolski according to Turkish newspaper Milliyet.

Podolski has admitted he is unhappy at Arsenal due to a lack of playing time.

“I can assess my situation, and it needs to change now – in the club,” Podolski said.

“Let’s see what happens now, and let’s see what happens in the winter. It’s clear that I am not happy right now.”

The German international is yet to start in the Premier League this season and has so far only made three appearances as a substitute.

Podolski also expressed his displeasure at not being played last week.

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger responded by saying every player has a role in the team and had to work for their place.

“It is quite simple, there is no transfer market at the moment. When there is no transfer market, you are all on board – or not on board. It is like that,” Wenger said.

“This is a job where you can only be successful if you’re fully committed. You cannot be half in and half out, so all this transfer speculation is not considered at all.”

Podolski joined Arsenal from FC Köln in 2012 and has gone on to make 74 appearances for the club scoring 28 times.

The 28-year-old has fallen down the pecking order following the signing of Danny Welbeck.

Podolski was closely linked with Galatasaray over the summer transfer and were close to reaching an agreement however, the deal fell through.
