Turkish giants Galatasaray are reportedly interested in reigniting their interest in Wolverhampton Wanderers midfielder Mario Lemina, according to A Spor.

Lemina spent the 2019-20 season on loan at Galatasaray, making 28 appearances in all competitions.

The 30-year-old Gabonese international has become a crucial player for Wolves since joining them permanently in January 2023.

He impressed with his work ethic and defensive solidity in central midfield, making 25 starts and two substitute appearances in the Premier League last season.

Galatasaray, looking to bolster their squad for the upcoming season, see Lemina as a potential solution in midfield. His experience in Turkey and familiarity with the club could be valuable assets.

Lemina joined Galatasaray on loan but that was when he was at Southampton.

It remains to be seen if Wolves are open to selling a key player, especially with the Premier League season approaching.Lemina himself recently stated his desire to stay at Wolves for a “long time.”

With Lemina only joining Wolves for €11 million [Transfermarkt] six months ago, the asking price could be a stumbling block for Galatasaray.

He is under contract until 2025 and Wolves have the option to extend by an additional season.

The Yellow-Reds want to bolster their midfield this summer and are able to offer Champions League football after lifting the league title for a second season in a row.

With transfer activity heating up, all eyes are on whether Galatasaray can convince Wolves and Lemina of a reunion.
