Galatasaray have found their replacement for departed striker Cedric Bakambu, agreeing a loan deal with Fulham for Carlos Vinicius until the end of the season. This move bolsters their attacking options alongside Mauro Icardi.

According to Aksam, Galatasaray have finalized terms with both Vinicius and his club Fulham. The 28-year-old Brazilian striker is expected to arrive in Istanbul shortly for medicals and finalize the contract signing.

Bakambu’s recent departure left a void in Galatasaray’s attack. Vinicius, with his experience and goal-scoring record, aims to fill that gap and contribute to the team’s success.

Vinicius joined Fulham in 2022 for €5 million and has made 48 appearances, scoring 8 goals and providing 3 assists.

The loan deal allows Galatasaray to assess Vinicius’ performance and explore their options for the future, while the player seeks additional playing time.

Venicius will be competing with Mauro Icardi and Halil Dervisoglu for a place up front in the team. He is expected to receive playing time rotating with Icardi who is currently first choice striker.

The Red-Yellows tend to play one striker under the management of Okan Buruk.

The Lions are in the middle of the Super Lig title race with rivals Fenerbahce and are competing in the Europa League.
